Chinquapin resident throws his hat in the ring for Duplin County Commissioner

As a Chinquapin resident and political newcomer, I am publicly announcing my intent to file for County Commissioner of District 3 in Duplin County.

The majority of District 3 is very rural which makes it unique. District 3 must be represented by an individual who is familiar with the area, its residents, and their needs. As an active member of the community as a volunteer first responder, I am aware of the importance of public emergency services and the protection of life and property it provides for all residents of the County.

Duplin County is a regional leader in agriculture, livestock, textiles and manufacturing. It’s equally important that District 3 is represented by an individual who is ambitious to pioneer remedies for its farmers and citizens for issues that they face today, and help build a foundation for agricultural innovation and growth.

I am also currently a member of the Duplin County Planning Board where I serve as an advisor to the County Commissioners concerning issues such as land use planning, subdivision, regulations, and public facilities. As a planning board member, I am familiar with the general duties and responsibilities of the County Board of Commissioners, facilitating a smooth transition into the position.

As a Duplin County resident, a conservative, a Christian, and a volunteer first responder, I stand united with the community. If elected, as a member of the Duplin County Board of Commissioners, I will be a strong voice and conservative advocate for our farmers and work to improve county budgeting and public emergency services within our County.
