Duplin County Cattlemen’s Association: Scholarships open for Duplin County students

The Duplin County Cattlemen’s Association is accepting scholarship applications. The scholarship is open to graduating seniors from Duplin County who plan to attend either a 2-year or 4-year institution in an agriculture related field of study.  

The application is due no later than 4:00, Friday, April 15, 2022.  The application requires a school transcript, three letters of reference, a brief autobiography and a brief essay describing the student’s future plans in agriculture.  Applications must be signed by a Guidance Counselor or Principal.  

Applications will be judged by the Duplin County Cattlemen’s Association Scholarship Committee.  Priority will be given to children of Association members.

At least one $500 scholarship will be awarded.  The award check will be made out to the institution.  The check will be presented to the student during the Association’s meeting on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 6:30 pm.
