Duplin County Schools: Summer Leadership Retreat

Duplin County Schools: Summer Leadership Retreat

From Duplin County Schools Website

Duplin County Schools leaders and their spouses traveled to Raleigh on July 22nd for a day of learning and fellowship. The event was held at the Steve Troxler Agriculture Sciences Building and included a tour of the new state of the art facilities dedicated to the many aspects of agriculture in North Carolina. Leaders came away with a renewed respect for the importance of agriculture in our community and the career opportunities available for our students.

The group also celebrated "The Strength of Family in a Season of Harvest" through team-building activities throughout the day. Spouses were recognized for the vital role they play in supporting the work of our school system.

The purpose of the annual leadership retreat is to reflect on the previous year's successes and challenges and to set goals for the new year.
