Three Duplin County Fire Departments rushed to a possible vehicle fire
On October 6th, Mount Olive, Oakwolfe and Calypso Fire Departments were dispatched to a possible vehicle fire at the friendly mart on Highway 403 .
An Oakwolfe assistant chief arrived to find a semi trailer on fire near the fuel pump burning at the refrigeration unit. Units arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the fire before it could spread to the awning.
Luckily the trailer was empty and the truck driver disconnected before any damage was done to the truck, but there was major damage done to the refrigeration unit and the front end of the trailer.
