Body found on the side of Duplin County road, victim identified.

On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call near Highway 117 South in Wallace, NC. A deceased human body was located on the side of the road by a person driving down the highway. The subject was identified as Sydney Louis Miller, a 61 year old black male from the Brunswick County area. The body has been sent to the medical examiner for an autopsy to determine a possible cause of death and the investigation is ongoing at this time.
