East Duplin High School, Fourth Duplin County School to attend National Beta Convention
East Duplin High School attended the National Beta Club Convention in Nashville, TN.
The EDHS Beta Club participated in Show Choir, Group Talent, and Living Literature competitions.
Participants were: Audrey Sutton, Shelby Edwards, Payton Kennedy, Carter Hall, Emerson Houston, Landon Heath, Gabriel Faulkner, Megan Epley, Abigail Sanderson, Allison Hollingsworth, Leah North, Macaelyn Williams, Savanah Kennedy, and Daniel Jones.
Living Literature’s theme was Homer’s The Odyssey. Show Choir performed and placed 10th in the nation out of 33 schools nationwide.
Individual competition placements:
Matthew Mobley placed 2nd in the 11th grade Social Studies competition, Gaby Herrera placed 10th in Spanish competition, Megan Epley placed 9th in Painting, and Daylin Pickett placed 6th in Digital Art.
